TPU Evolution® Classic is our 100% Made in Italy and 100% recyclable polyurethane yarn, which offers ample space for creativity thanks to the infinite possibilities of use and the vast range of colors and counts available.

The yarn is produced according to a zero-waste logic: it is a sustainable, solvent-free yarn, with colors produced using water-free technology. It is also 100% recyclable: garments made entirely with our yarn can be ground and the resulting material can be extruded again, thus obtaining granules for direct use or intended for additives to increase the mechanical performance of a variety of products, including soles, panels and vases.

TPU Evolution® Classic can be used for all types of knit creations, on flat or circular machines, as well as for woven fabrics. Moreover, it can be worked alone or in combination with any other yarn, from traditional noble fibers to more technical fibres.

It is successfully used for the creation of bags, shoes, accessories, outerwear, but also sweaters, ribbons, sportswear, furniture, automotive and more technical applications.

 

TPU Evolution® Classic offers a wide range of properties, such as:

• Great abrasion resitance

• Resistance to hydrolysis

• Resistance to solvents, oils and greases

• Very high UV and aging stability

• Permanently antimicrobial

• Enhances the brilliance of colours

The fabric produced with TPU Evolution® Classic can be subjected to a finishing heat treatment, by heat press or felt calender: this process allows for a variety of possible final hand feels depending on the temperature applied, from the soft manopesca to the more technical glazed effect.

​

During the finishing teatment, it is a possibility to interpone special release papers between heating surface and fabric: according to the type of paper chosen (matt/shiny/extra shiny/embossed) the corresponding effect will be released onto the fabric, giving you the chance to experiment and reach the most different looks!

The yarn is available in 330 dtex, 930 dtex, and higher counts.
